Flights from Montreal (YUL) to Mo'orea, French Polynesia
Here is what to know before booking a flight to Mo'orea from Montreal.
From Montreal, fares to Mo'orea usually run between $2300 and $4400. The best fare spotted recently is $2397 (about 12% below the typical price).
Mo'orea is the jagged, green sister island of Tahiti, a heart-shaped ring of volcanic peaks wrapped in a lagoon so clear it barely looks real. Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay cut deep into the island between pineapple fields and rainforest, and the water is full of rays, reef sharks and coral gardens. Come trade the clock for island time!
When to go
The best window is the dry season, May to October, when the air is cooler, less humid and the lagoon is at its clearest for snorkelling. The wet season, November to April, is hotter and stickier with heavier tropical showers, though they often pass quickly. Whale-watching season for humpbacks falls roughly August to October, a real draw if the timing works.
Getting there from Montreal
Mo'orea is genuinely remote from eastern Canada, so count on a long journey with several stops. From Québec City or Montréal you connect through a US West Coast hub such as Los Angeles or San Francisco to reach Papeete on Tahiti, sometimes via Honolulu, and international flights arrive there rather than on Mo'orea itself. From Papeete you finish with a short ferry (Aremiti or Terevau) or a quick hop across the channel, and you will cross the date line on the way.

Good to know before you go
The currency is the CFP franc (Pacific franc). There is no ride-hailing here, so the island runs on taxis, hotel transfers, and rented scooters or bikes, plus the ferry from Tahiti to reach it. French and Tahitian are the languages, and a little French goes a long way and is warmly received. Distances are small and the coast road loops the whole island, so a scooter or bike is the easiest way to explore at your own pace.
